CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL LOTTERY 2019

RULES AND REGULATIONS

DRAW DATES:
All draws will be held at the office of Stride Management Corp. 3950 -12 Street NE, Calgary Alberta.

The Loyalty Draw will be held at 11:00 am on May 30, 2019. Only tickets received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre before 11:00 pm May 15, 2019 will be eligible for this draw.

The Early Bird Draw will be held at 11:00 am on July 18, 2019. Only tickets received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre before 11:00 pm June 27, 2019 will be eligible for this draw.

The Final Draw will be held at 11 am on August 8, 2019. Only tickets received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre before the deadline of 11:00 pm July 18, 2019 will be eligible for this draw.
All draws are open to the public.

Prize draws follow a strict set of procedures, with draw control oversight by Stride Management Corp. and under licensing approval of the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC).
DRAW ORDER:
The first draw will be the Loyalty prize followed by the Early Bird prize and concluding with the final prizes. Final prizes will be drawn in order of the least retail value up to and including the Grand prize. Each ticket is eligible for all prizes except those not received prior to published cut-off dates.

All winners will be notified in writing by Stride Management Corp. detailing what they have won and where they can claim their prize(s). The names, cities and winning ticket numbers will be published within 14 days following the draw on the lottery website at www.childrenshospitallottery.ca

Prizes must be accepted as awarded, there will be no cash substitutes unless otherwise stated. Winners of Prizes that have cash options must decide on the actual prize or the cash option by August 16, 2019, if no decision has been made by this date, the cash option will be awarded.

All prizes must be claimed within one year from the final draw date. If any prize(s) remains unclaimed for more than one (1) year from the date of the draw, a request will be made to the AGLC. regarding the disbursement of the unclaimed prizes.

The possession date for the Grand Prize home will be no later than 30 days following the prize being awarded to the winner. All furniture and appliances displayed in the home will be awarded and must be accepted “as is where is”.

Vacation Prizes:
Where air transportation is provided, the Calgary International Airport will be the point of origin. Prize redemption will be subject to availability of packages at the time of booking.
Blackout dates for trips and/or destinations are as follows: Christmas, New Year’s, Teacher Convention, Reading Week, Spring Break, Easter, CAD Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, US Thanksgiving, and any long weekends. Two months’ notice of booking required by Vision Travel Group. Winners must decide on the trip or travel voucher option by August 16, 2019. If no decision has been made by this date, the travel voucher option will be awarded. All trips are for two people unless otherwise stated. Children are defined as individuals up to the age of 15.

Contest guidelines prohibit the following people from purchasing tickets: The Lottery Manager, the Ticket Auditor, the Lottery Committee, employees of Stride Management Corp., immediate family of those listed above and anyone under the age of 18. The Licensee will advise all purchasers not to include the name of anyone under the age of 18 on the ticket due to the requirements of the Public Trustee Act.

In the event a winning ticket stub lists more than one name, the licensed charity shall award the prize to only one of the individuals identified on the ticket, and the licensed charity and the AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals.

Retail value of the prizes is $ $2,011,505.85 (includes GST).
DISTRIBUTION OF TICKETS:
Tickets are available by mail, phone, Internet and the Grand Prize show home.

Tickets may be purchased with cheque, money order, VISA, MasterCard, bank debit card and cash. The Licensee’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the ticket.

If any purchased ticket has been entered for any draw, no refund will be issued.

96,000 tickets are available and consist of; 26,000 single tickets at $100 each; 5,200 sets of 5 for $250 each and 2,750 sets of 16 for $400.
Only upon demonstrating extraordinary circumstances to the AGLC will the Licensee make a request for a draw date extension.

The KinWin 50 draw will be held on August 8, 2019, 11am at Stride Management Corp. 3950 12 Street NE Calgary AB. Only tickets received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre before the deadline of 11:00 pm July 18, 2019 will be eligible for this draw.

The draw is open to the public.

Prize draws follow a strict set of procedures, with draw control oversight by Stride Management Corp. and under licensing approval by the licensing body, the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC).

Winner will be notified in writing by Stride Management Corp. detailing what they have won and where they can claim their prize. The name, city and winning ticket number will be published on the lottery website site www.childrenshospitallottery.ca.

454,250 tickets available and consist of; 2,800 single tickets at $10 each, 13,820 10-packs for $25 and 12,530 25-packs for $50 for a total of 454,250 tickets. There will be a minimum guaranteed payout of $200,000 or 50% of ticket sales (whichever is greater).

Purchasers are not required to purchase a ticket in the Children’s Hospital Lottery to purchase tickets in the KinWin 50 lottery.
